Thank goodness for skippers

Another skipper at the National Arboretum. Good thing some of them were around because there wasn’t much of anything else. Hopefully that will change as we get more into our hot and humid summer.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

I heartily endorse the sentiment though perhaps for another reason. They're an intriguing though somewhat difficult group.

Amen to that! They used to annoy me because they were so ubiquitous, but now with nary a pretty colorful butterfly in sight, I appreciate them a whole lot more. V.
