Not too useful in an emergency

Saw this old fire hydrant in somebody’s yard on Capitol Hill.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

I'm surprised that tree doesn't get ticketed!

Makes for a colorful decoration. We have an old one like that outside at the office, the dogs find it useful. V

Quite bemusing! Clearly not in use (I hope!), but a fun object to come across. V

Decoration, or maybe for the family dog, anyway a neat find.

Hopefully it’s not to be used but it makes for interesting yard art.

it is rather hidden away, and barely accessible so sunken in...still, might be handy in a heat wave..
