When all else fails

My last picture of this downy woodpecker in my next-door neighbor’s front yard. Looks like he decided to try his luck on the iron fence post after all.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

I have read that the male woodpeckers will bang on something metal to amplify their sound to attract females. He looks like he's just taking a break. Well photographed.
