First tulips of the season!

These tulips are in our backyard rose bed, and have been there for as long as I can remember. They bloom every year without fail, unlike the newer bulbs I put in our front yard now, which only bloom once and that’s it.

It was bitterly cold here today and started snowing in the late afternoon. Just a little, but still, simply amazing for DC, even more so when the sun suddenly came out with the snow still falling.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Just in the nick of time, posted earlier:

We still have ice and snow in the yard so another few weeks for tulips. Your lovely photo gives me hope though.

These are quite lovely, too cold for ours yet. It was 10°F here this morning.
