Bosporus Bridge, Istanbul

I haven’t added to this gallery for almost two years so figured I really should get back to it and try to finish it up. I still haven't posted any pictures of Ankara, where we lived for almost 8 years.

Known as the “First Bridge” of three spanning the Istanbul Strait, the Bosporus Bridge was completed in 1973 and connects Europe and Asia. To its left is Rumeli Hisarı, an Ottoman fortress built in 1452.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Accommodating model, posted earlier:

Memories for us Helen. I recall that view from a boat trip along there. You have a great perspective here.

A really interesting and lovely shot. I don't remember the bridge, we took the ferry from one side to the other. V
