Tim said he saw something like a long beak sticking out of the reeds, from quite a distance and from the side (see previous/below picture), and this is what we found when we walked closer – my great blue heron friend, having returned after an absence of a year and a half.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
