‘My, what a long neck you have’…

...‘All the better to see my prey with’

I couldn’t resist posting one more picture of the great blue heron I saw at Piscataway National Park. I find that neck simply amazing!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Reaching for the stars maybe? Yes those neck are amazing Helen. They stretch both length-wise to see and catch prey and the stretch width-wise when swallowing huge prey. Excellent image.
