We went back to the aquatic gardens today, earlier this time, because I wanted to photograph some lotus flowers when they were open. While there we saw these American lotuses, which are yellow, unlike Asian varieties, which are pink or white. They only have a small pond of them, but people were amazed at the color, and I was the only person who knew what they were (because I had read about them in The Washington Post and just had to see them).

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
