Another casualty…

…from our 60 mph winds last week. This tree was enormous, far larger than the other one that had broken off in the wind (previous picture). It was also located in front of a charter school. Thank goodness nobody was around when it happened.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Very sad to see these big street trees die; the winds at that speed can do serious damage, but the tree looks like it might have been hollowed out from the inside, so not as strong as it might be. V

This tree already had some hidden problems looking at your excellent image.
Glad no one was injured when this wind did the job on the tree.

Fortunately, there was no one under it, yesterday there was also a storm in the Netherlands where several trees went over.
