Walk interrupted

We had extremely heavy winds here today that broke this tree off just around the corner from our house. Just as we were going to go around it in the street, a municipal employee pulled up to take care of it, so we turned around and found another route.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

They’re back with a new look, posted earlier:

What a great composition with Sahraa on the left side. V

Sahraa appears displeased with the interruption. Ears back, leash taut - she wants to forge onward!

it occurs more and more often, extreme wind and rain, long drought, and that is not a good combination for the trees as well as nature suffers from it, a phenomenon that is also increasingly occurring here, nice image Helen, what so sahraa think of it BV

Good thing you weren't walking there when it came down! Nice that they come and clean up so quickly.
Julie Oldfield01-May-2021 18:27
That could be dangerous. I glad it didn’t hit anyone. Nice documentation of nature’s power. V

Good thing that didn't fall on anyone's house - or anyone!

must have been blowing strong to bring down such a thick length of wood...one never knows when plans will change when outside..
