We came across this mural while searching for cherry blossom sculptures in Anacostia, a poorer part of the District of Columbia across the river that I had never been to in more than 30 years of owning a house here. I was actually impressed at the development that has taken place there, and some sections of it were quite pleasant. Space was tight in this parking lot, and I couldn’t avoid our car or the shed in addition to not being able to see my iPhone screen due to the brilliant sun, but I thought the mural was worth photographing.
