One block closer

The police blockade from a week ago was gone, and we were able to get a block closer to the Capitol. I wonder if the public will ever be able to walk on the grounds again and go on tours of the building.

*****
We went down to the Capitol to see how things looked after the inauguration. A lot of the National Guard troops were gone, although some are staying for the impeachment trial, and the Capitol Police weren‘t so much in evidence on the street. Some of the roadblocks were gone, but the fences have stayed, perhaps even more fortified than before.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Not sure how soon things will change. Definitely not until all the proceedings are wrapped up concerning Trump's impeachment trial.
