Thank you to all who expressed concern during the deadly insurrection that took place down the street from us yesterday. We’re OK, although Tim insisted on accompanying Sahraa and me to the park in the late afternoon, before the curfew went into effect, since the domestic terrorists that carried it out had planned to use our park as a staging ground the day before.

I’m simply at a loss for words to describe how I feel about what transpired here.
