Yeni Camii, Istanbul

Yeni Camii (New Mosque), completed between 1660 and 1665, is an Ottoman imperial mosque located in the Eminönü quarter of Istanbul. It is situated on the Golden Horn at the southern end of the Galata Bridge.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

A nice street scene with the Mosque in Ottoman Style. Turkey was really different in the turn of the century. The society was more peaceful and freedom was not yet hampered. V.
