On November 17, 1927 an F2 tornado with winds at 125 mph moved through Capitol Hill, damaging the rowhouses on the 1300 block of A Street, NE. The houses were repaired and remain occupied.
This is how the houses look now; below/previous picture of the tornado damage was taken from the restoration society’s website, original source Library of Congress (LOT 12354-2).
