I don’t know where the rainbow came from since it hadn’t rained anywhere AFAIK, but this was reportedly the second day in a row that one appeared over the park. Also, another statue in the park that was fenced off by the US Park Police despite the fact that nobody had wanted to pull it down. The park really looks terrible now with its two famous statues under this kind of protection, especially since the controversy over the other one (the Emancipation Memorial) has died down and nobody is threatening to destroy or remove it.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
