Crape myrtle bonanza (1)

This has been a bonanza year for both our crape myrtles, a few quick shots of both I'll post here. Seen here is the one in our backyard, which has to be severely cut back every year since it gets caught in the wires.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Way of the Cross Church, now The Sanctuary condominiums, posted earlier:

An outstanding tree - we need all the beauty we can find and you've got an abundance here.

Very pretty.
A solar powered motion detector? We have a sprinkler with a motion detector. It surprises deer with a squirt of water when they try to eat our plants.

The crape myrtles in this area of the country are assaulted yearly in what we call "crape murder" and while they look awful when they're chopped back, they look beautiful after they leaf out and bloom.

This is one amazing tree in the very early spring the tree looks like it will not grow and then it comes to life
and this is a perfect example of how beautiful this tree is.
