Crape myrtle bonanza (2)

This has been a bonanza year for both our crape myrtles, a few quick shots of both I’ll post here. Seen here is the one in our front yard, which for some reason has grown out instead of up, despite the fact that I had it cut back in winter.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

A lovely shot of this plant, a kind we don't ever see in our area.

I prefer groing out instead of up. You can enjoy it easier

Amazing how some plants just thrive in hot, dry conditions. Lovely to have such greenery.

If you do decide to put up a hummingbird feeder next spring, this tree would be a nice refuge for a bird. Hopefully you can put up the feeder where you can easily view it through one of your windows. I am a very lazy photographer and most of my hummingbird pictures were taken through my windows or sliding door. Your other crape myrtle would be good too.
