A bargain at $4.75 million!

This has always been one of my favorite houses on the Hill, and now it’s for sale, for $4.75 million. It was built in 1903 by a stonemason from Italy and has seven bedrooms, five baths and a two-car garage. The house encompasses 5,688 square feet and the property three lots. It’s called the “Deer House” because of a stone statue of a deer located in its front garden (seen at right). Capitol Hill has become a desirable and expensive neighborhood in Washington, but that price is astronomical even for here. Needless to say, I don’t think we’ll be buying it ;-).

5K+ square feet is a lot of house. At that price the customer base is limited, to say the least. Must be an amazing property and the deer is a nice feature.

That would be about $6.5 million Canadian. Not many, if any, houses in Edmonton at that price. V
