Budding crape myrtle

Now the crape myrtle in our backyard is blooming. It’s nice to still have some flowers to look at during these incredibly hot and humid days of summer.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

A very portion of beauty of a crape myrtle probably the nicest tree that blooms this time of the year and I think they can give the pink dogwood a good competition for tree of the year.
Nice sharp shot Helen.
