One of the many passageways on the monastery grounds. Funny how I prefer pictures taken with my iPhone in some instances to those with a “real” camera. I only had my 300mm lens with me so couldn’t photograph this, but Tim did with the D850, and I liked this one better.

We went back to the Franciscan Monastery in NE Washington because last year there had been lots of butterflies in their garden, and quite frankly, because we couldn’t go anywhere else due to street closures everywhere for protests and other major gardens still being closed on account of the pandemic.

Unfortunately, we only saw one butterfly – maybe it’s too early? – but we enjoyed walking through the extensive grounds.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
