Unusual way of blooming

I didn't know what kind of tree this was, but I was fascinated by how it blooms (thanks to Nirvan for the ID, an eastern redbud). Taken while on a walk with Sahraa, who is always unhappy when I stop to take a picture.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Looks like a very pretty tree. I'd never heard of a Redbud. I agree with Gill. It would be interesting to see what it looks like an a couple of weeks! V

certainly an unusual spacing of blossoms...maybe it is a Measles Tree..
