Picture window with a house

A pretty normal-sized house for Riyadh. I was impressed by the size of that “picture window” in front, although it doesn’t look like the rest of the house is that well lit.

*****

Another gallery I never finished was this one, of palatial residences in Riyadh. Not every Saudi lives in a palace, although some do and many come pretty close. They all have gates, some of which appear in “The Gates of Riyadh” gallery, too, but in these I tried to show more of the houses to give an idea of how people live there. I must add that our house in Riyadh was nothing like any of these ;-).

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Yet still very secretive. The composition is well framed. V

That is just about department store size!! You'd need a map to navigate through it. But what a fantastic shot you got... that window though, looks a tad out of place. V

the large window opens up the otherwise cloistered nature of the residential fortress..

Normal size, wow. I'd get lost for sure. Probably requires a housekeeping staff. Great shot.

It would be too big for me, but it is impressive! V

Definitely you had a great experience during your long stay there. I used to follow your galleries nearly on real time. Certain architectures are really amazing

Very interesting architecture. That big window must let a lot of light in, but doesn't look like much of a view.

That is one big house, well captured Helen.
