A lot of people were viewing the exhibit while listening to commentary on their cell phones, like this woman, who was passing by a work of art made from wool titled “Nebula 22&23,” by Ramona Sakiestewa (Hopi), in 2009 that I wasn’t able to photograph. Unfortunately, the Smithsonian Institution is closing all its museums as well as the National Zoo on Saturday until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.

From the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery website:
“Women have long been the creative force behind Native American art, yet their individual contributions have been largely unrecognized, instead treated as anonymous representations of entire cultures. ‘Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists’ explores the artistic achievements of Native women and establishes their rightful place in the art world.”
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
