I had tried to get this woolly mammoth from a different perspective with my Nikon on our first visit, but it was just impossible to get a good shot. It still was with my iPhone, but the fossil was so impressive, here it is with all the reflections and distractions.

The “dinosaur exhibit” -- as everybody calls it, although it’s much more than that -- in the newly reopened fossil hall at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History is fascinating.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
