There was a Fossil Lab at the museum where technicians were working on ancient bones. Most of them had written out signboards explaining what they were doing (in this case, looking at 4-million-year-old whale bones from Oregon), and this man also posted a note saying that what we saw on the monitor was what he was seeing through the microscope.

The “dinosaur exhibit” -- as everybody calls it, although it’s much more than that -- in the newly reopened fossil hall at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History is fascinating.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
