These are the remains of the S.S. Atlantus, an experimental concrete ship built during World War I but deemed a failure due to its weight. It was purchased for use as a ferry in Cape May but ran aground in a storm in 1926 and couldn’t be freed.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
