This mallard was clearly enjoying his midday bath.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

We stopped by Constitution Gardens as the lake is full again, but all we found were some ducks and geese, and not many at that. I guess it will take a while for the varied community that lived there before they drained the lake to return.
Unfortunately, there is a huge amount of some mossy looking substance covering much of the water that wasn’t there before, odd since the purpose of draining the manmade lake was to “clean” it. I notified the US Park Service, but I imagine they won’t do anything about it.
