There were some dragonflies at the gardens, although they usually hang around the water lilies, and there weren’t too many of those in evidence yet.

We decided to take a drive out to Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, situated 15 minutes from home near the DC-Maryland border. Although we always go for the annual water lily and lotus festival, we thought we'd see what was there in advance of it. It was disappointing that there weren't many birds, but we did find a few other things of interest to photograph.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
