This was the only picture Tim took at this metro station, the first one he went to. He said he was a bit nervous taking pictures with all the police around but gradually felt more comfortable. It was just last August that the Uzbek government started allowing photography in Tashkent’s metro stations.

I had read that Tashkent’s metro stations are beautifully decorated, so I asked Tim to go photograph a few of them. (See previous picture for another one of them.)
