Gettin' outta there

Occasionally there was some action on the depleted lake.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

We went back down to Constitution Gardens, our favorite place for bird shots, although since the lake is still being drained (or left to evaporate, apparently) for maintenance, there weren’t many birds there other than geese and ducks.

You've been seeing a whole lot more action on this DC "depleted lake" than I have in years at the federally managed National Wildlife Refuge (currently closed due to April flooding) in Missouri. Nice catch of the take off.
