The Old Patent Office Building houses the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, where the orchid exhibit was staged. It was built in the Greek Revival style from 1836 to 1867. Last time we lived in Washington, much of it was closed for renovation, so it was nice to finally see the finished product.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
