We went down to Constitution Gardens to see if the heron was still there, after the heavy snow we got last week and the currently frigid weather (with wind chill bringing temperatures below zero tomorrow). It was so cold and windy that I had to give up after about 10 minutes because my hands were frozen, even with gloves on. It was also hard to hold the camera steady in that wind. After one particularly strong gust, I had to move away from the water for fear of getting blown in.
But the heron and cormorants are all soldiering on; they must be finding enough to eat to make them stay.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
