Z7: The Michelle Obama orchid

Another shot with the Z7, better, I’d say than the previous one, which I subsequently deleted.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

With literally nothing open on the National Mall except the US Botanic Garden, we went down there on Saturday to try to get a few pictures. We had the Nikon Z7 and the Sony with us, and I’d have to say overall the visit was disappointing. It was too dark in there for the Sony and very high ISOs, and I wasn’t happy (again) with most of the close-ups of flowers with the Z7, although I’ve tried to fix them up as best I can in PS.

I’ve decided to do a small sub-gallery with the pictures from both cameras for comparison. I’d recommend looking at the Sony version below, too.

To me the Z7 image is sharper and more crisp in color. ~V~

Both images are excellent. I think the Z7 is a bit sharper, Helen! V

I do like the Nikon’s detail and it seems brighter. The flower is very pretty. V
