Orchids at the US Botanic Garden

Taken in the Tropics section at the US Botanic Garden. I do think a picture Tim took of the same orchid with the D810 and 80-400mm lens is sharper, but since I’m testing this camera, am posting this one, too.

We went down to the National Mall today because I wanted to use my new camera and needed something to photograph other than houses around Capitol Hill. So I took some pictures of my old standby, the US Capitol, and found a few other things along the way.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
