Late afternoon at the US Capitol

Right before I took this, there had been scores of seagulls flying in front of the Capitol, but I had already turned off my camera so missed it. This was my consolation shot. At least there's one seagull in it!

We went down to the National Mall today because I wanted to use my new camera and needed something to photograph other than houses around Capitol Hill. So I took some pictures of my old standby, the US Capitol, and found a few other things along the way.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
