I had just finished taking the picture below of the squirrel encounter when a seagull fight broke out in the reflecting pool over something one of the birds had found (so didn’t have time to change my camera settings).

We went down to the National Mall today because I wanted to use my new camera and needed something to photograph other than houses around Capitol Hill. So I took some pictures of my old standby, the US Capitol, and found a few other things along the way.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
