We went down to the National Mall today because I wanted to use my new camera and needed something to photograph other than houses around Capitol Hill. So I took some pictures of my old standby, the US Capitol, and found a few other things along the way.
Some parents were allowing their little boy try to feed (or pet or something) this squirrel. I think this was the mother’s hand, but when the squirrel got close we warned them to stop. Not only can the squirrel rip your hand open (which happened to me years ago), they carry rabies as well. Luckily I had had my State Department rabies shot.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
