Bird of a different kind

We had stopped on the George Washington Parkway in Virginia looking for birds, but this was the only kind of bird we found, taking off and landing at National Airport.

Beautiful, makes me dream a bit, funny how we take off at a certain time and place and land in a different time zone, sometime, backwards centuries (try taking off from say Los Angeles and land in say ... Cambodia or Laos for example, you're cnturies back!
