I don’t think this was as successful as my first butterfly, but these are such beautiful dragonflies, and this was the best shot from all three cameras, so I’m posting it anyway.

I had planned to end this gallery, but we went back to the 700-acre Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens in Washington, D.C., to take another stab at photographing one of the resident herons. Along the way to the marsh we saw lots of other things, including more lotuses, water lilies and dragonflies.
