Church rectory turned private residence(s) (1883)

I came across an article about this house that said this was a church converted into a private residence, so I went to check it out (twice because I didn’t have a memory card in the camera the first time ;-)). Turned out it was the rectory of a church that sold five months ago for $2,300,000 – seven bedrooms, 5.5 baths, 7,000 square feet, half an acre of land, built in 1883.

Come to think of it, the buyer might be turning it into condos since it’s absolutely enormous, and there was a public announcement on the window of the rectory saying that application had been made to add two additional stories.

Pooped out, posted earlier:

Love that window reflection and light at the top. I bet the place has tons of interior character as well as this attractive setting.

This looks especially beautiful in this subdued light framed by its garden on the bottom and the red leaves up top. ~BV~
