Gracing the trail

We went back to the 412-acre National Arboretum, located in northeast Washington, D.C., about a 15-minute drive from our house. It was cloudy this time, but there were many more azaleas in bloom, some of them my favorites from years past. The dogwoods had already lost all their blossoms.
