Saturday was the United Airlines Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon, which ran right through our neighborhood, at the 13-mile halfway point.

This was the same runner shown in the picture below, who most people felt looked to be laboring to complete the race. I think they were right, but I admire his persistence. NOTE: I just checked the results, and he finished the race in 5:44:25. Good for him!

I was trying to use continuous focus in the beginning (which I never use), but it didn’t work well for me so some of the images like this one aren’t very sharp.
