Penthouse 'Master suite,' floor plan says

This space was called the “master suite” on the floor plan, but it’s a relatively narrow room and has the bed pictured against this closet unit, which is clearly impossible. On the other side of this closet is an enormous “sitting” room, much more suited to being the master bedroom, if you like sleeping in a cavern.

The place where the blackboards used to be is visible, but apparently research has shown that people like blackboards in their living rooms but not in their bedrooms.

We attended an open house of the entire Pierce School Lofts building last weekend and were given permission to photograph whatever we wanted.

The Pierce School was built in 1895, bought by the owners in 2000 for $275,000 as a flooded and rodent infested shell and converted to condos in 2005. All the units are for sale, ranging in price from $359,000 to $699,000 for the lower lofts and $3,399,000 for the 9,500 square foot penthouse.

That is so interesting! You are right that the bed up against the closet unit doesn't make any sense. V

A very unusual setup but I suppose you can always rearrange the furniture to suit your needs....V

That is a very different closet unit. Nicely captured..

That's an impressive unit for sure, but I'm not sure I'd like to have my clothes hung over my bed.
