Penthouse, appliances

The kitchen in the penthouse used to be the school cafeteria, and it’s gigantic, something like 690 square feet, we calculated from a confusing floor plan. It has an 18-foot marble island, two refrigerators and a freezer, a commercial grade stove and several unique dining areas in addition to counter space.

They had some pretty impressive appliances in this enormous kitchen.

We attended an open house of the entire Pierce School Lofts building last weekend and were given permission to photograph whatever we wanted.

The Pierce School was built in 1895, bought by the owners in 2000 for $275,000 as a flooded and rodent infested shell and converted to condos in 2005. All the units are for sale, ranging in price from $359,000 to $699,000 for the lower lofts and $3,399,000 for the 9,500 square foot penthouse.
