Views from the Newseum terrace, US Capitol

When I visited the Newseum on Museum (free) Day, I first went to the lower concourse and looked around, and then took an elevator to the sixth and top floor and worked my way down to the ground level. It was far easier to take the many staircases down than up! This was taken from the terrace looking out on Pennsylvania Avenue NW, which runs from the US Capitol to the White House, although the latter can’t be seen from here, only Trump International Hotel…

Yes, a great picture of a place where it was once said that Americans always do the right thing in the end, after they've done all the wrong things. Winston Churchill addressing them I think.
