Earlier in her life, Owltilla was cared for by another rehabbing facility. When the American Eagle Foundation traveled to this rehab center to specifically retrieve a Red Tailed Hawk, they met Owltilla and decided to bring her back with them too.

This owl didn’t seem the friendliest of the AEF’s birds and hissed at our tour guide when she approached. I think I would have kept my distance, too.
