A more accurate picture, not taken by me ;-), of the gorgeous brooch pictured below.
Designed by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1969, it features an invisible mount (serti invisible) for which the Paris jeweler became famous.
One of the main reasons we visited Hillwood was to see this exhibit titled “Spectacular Gems and Jewelry from the Merriweather Post Collection.”
