Here lies Marjorie Merriweather Post

Marjorie Merriweather Post’s ashes rest in an urn in the Rose Garden. The monument bears the Post family coat of arms and a Latin inscription that roughly translates as “All my hopes rest in me,” a fitting motto for this dynamic, self-sufficient woman.
