The watchdog

Our corner grocer with his dog, Roxie, who was a good watchdog with all the customers. The owner, however, said she was a “chicken.” I kept trying to get a picture of her among the bananas, but she wouldn't pose, so finally he grabbed her, and I got this.

The dog really does have a pudgy tummy - nice having a grocer for an owner :) Such a lovely, warm shot - too bad she's "chicken" - nice to have a dog that would fend off potential thieves ! V

A well-fed chicken! Love this moment captured. I just finished watching an HBO documentary about the Scottish photographer, Harry Benson, and was highly motivated to do more people photography...ESPECIALLY in black and white which I believe has more impact.
